Remarkable July 2020

July has been a remarkable month for both John-Khalid and me. We have achieved our expectations.

Only 7 July 2020, we were installed as part of the Exco members of MIM Toastmasters Club of Johor Bahru, a non-profit International organisation.

'Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 358,000 in more than 16,800 clubs in 143 countries. John-Khalid was installed as the President and I was installed as the Vice President of Education, both important roles to shape the future of the club.

We hope to help members to achieve their goals. I believe in personal bonding to achieve anything in life. You need to work with your proteges and guide them. Both husband and wife have been blessed with exposure to travelling, experience, running our businesses and myself in social sector running Non-governmental organizations. We have run our small businesses in the UK and Maldives. 

With experience and knowledge, we hope to help others. We will ensure that our proteges get the best in their lives.

Some time back I was requested to mentor the senior members and the Exco of an organisation. I helped them in the past and the organisation did well. The second time when the request came I had to think twice. The first time, it was easier to mentor and turn around the organisation to be successful.   This is a group of entrepreneurs who already have created a path for their future, and no outside influence or mentorship can change. The company has set ways and created a culture they didn’t want to change.   I have no regrets today, as I am happy to see the entrepreneurs flying high & I wish them all the best in the future.
